Historically, legal services have been charged on the basis of an hourly rate or a scale of costs. Whilst we have always had lower hourly rates than the larger law firms we realise the shortcomings for both ourselves and you in using these, which can often reward inefficiency and fail to provide certainty to you about the legal fees being incurred. We also understand that these methods of charging for legal services have not always captured the commercial value of the solutions provided to our clients.

While we understand that some of our clients still prefer to maintain more traditional means of time based costing, and acknowledge that there are some matters in which it will not be possible for an agreed price to be determined, we believe that agreeing on a price prior to work commencing provides transparency and clarity.
